INTUNE Magazine Inspiration & Visual Experimentation
Intune Magazine is a publication curated for the electronic dance music culture. Each issue offers festival recaps, set reviews, and the latest happening in the industry. For my edition, its birth was around the time when COVID had first hit the nation, impacting the culture greatly. This offered me a chance to relate our culture to world wide news and show its effects. This project also gave me the opportunity to write a few feature articles of my own; including “Excision’s Evolution” and the Electric Forest Review. Its branding involves a club-night neon sign lock up for the logo that alternates in spot color each month and is used throughout the issue in accordance with black to give it a night-life feel. The feature spreads are tailored more to the artist in color and differing typography that align with the djs overall aesthetic. Additional material for this project includes the second cover version for the June edition as well as a poster that would be stapled in its binding for the featured artist article.
